Blood test for Alzheimer’s reported by Alzheimer’s and Dementia Journal

Everycare UKA blood test to predict Alzheimer’s is said to be very close, claim British scientists.

After a major research project involving over 1000 individuals the blood test which identifies a set of proteins in blood is said to be over 85% accurate. The breakthrough will assist in developing new dementia drugs but experts are warning that teh test will not be available in GP surgeries. The new blood test findings were reported in the journal Alzheimer’s & Dementia.

Arndale Centre Success – home care education

Staff from Everycare Eastbourne spent a day at Eastbourne’s Arndale Centre on Thursday 29th of May talking to people about the home care services that they can offer.

“It’s surprising how many people are unaware of what options are open to them as they get older” said Angela Fuller Everycare’s proprietor “Many people seem to believe the only option for them as they get a little infirm is a nursing or residential home but home care and particularly live in care are now a really affordable option. In fact most people given a choice would much rather stay in the confort of their own home”

Over the day staff spoke to over 60 people about what Everycare could do for them. “The day was a great success” said Angela “We met some lovely people and hopefully left them better educated about what they or their relatives might be able to take advantage of”

Eastbourne over 50’s Show

Everycare Eastbourne attended the Eastbourne over 50’s Show at the Winter Gardens from the 10th-11th of May. The show was a huge success and brought in a massive footfall of well over 6,000. eastbourne care services exhibition for over 50s

Staff from Everycare took time to explain to people the services that are available to them or their relatives such as Live in Care. Angela Fuller, Eastbourne’s proprietor said ‘It’s surprising how few people are aware of exactly what is available to them and what they are entitled to. Other exhibitors at the show included representatives from energy, law and finance as well as cooking demonstrations retail stands and celebrity guests.
