Everycare Dorset – Our Commitment To Clients
Quality home care in Bournemouth, Poole and the surrounding areas of Dorset
If you are a manager of a hospital, care home or other establishment, any temporary staff that you engage need to be appropriately experienced, trained and qualified so that they complement your regular team and can contribute immediately, fully and safely to the tasks required of them.
That is just what we do – we will not send you someone who is inappropriate to the placement. Enquiries for temporary staffing are dealt with efficiently and we can normally confirm the booking immediately or within a few minutes. Unlike some providers, we do not just say yes to everything in the hope that we can sort it out later – that ultimately leads to unhappy clients and a disorganised service.
Any enquiry about home care will receive a prompt response and a free home consultation by an experienced care manager. We consider this to be crucial. When engaging the services of a care company you are inviting someone new into your home, part of whose duties may well incorporate undertaking very personal tasks. It is essential that you feel entirely at ease not only with the care staff assisting you, but also the managers and organisation supporting them. We will discuss your specific needs and you will have the opportunity of asking any questions before engaging our services. You will never be placed under any pressure to use Everycare and it is always possible that the meeting may result in our advising you that there is a better, alternative option. We have a wide range of contacts relating to all aspects of care and we will do all that we reasonably can to provide the best advice.
The words quality and reliability embody everything that we do. We strive to maintain these standards consistently and, recognising that we are only as good as the staff we employ, work very hard to engender skill, loyalty and pride in the job.
We monitor all aspects of our service, encouraging and obtaining feedback from all our clients and staff as part of our quality control process. The results of this quality control monitoring can be made available on request. All clients are encouraged to visit us at our headquarters in Dorchester, where they will be made very welcome and will have the opportunity of meeting the management team.
In addition we have also entered into The Social Care Commitment, an adult focused social care promise to provide people who need care and support with high quality services.
Regulation, Disclosure Checks and Quality Control
The Care Quality Commission – (CQC)
We are registered with and licensed by the Care Quality Commission, under statutory legislation of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and the Care Quality Commission Registration Regulations 2009. We undergo routine CQC inspections of our services. We would recommend that prior to using a service for a regulated activity, you check the most recent inspection reports for that provider. Our last inspection was in January 2017, when we were found to be ‘good’ in respect of all five key indicators. Copies of our latest inspection reports are available at our office or from www.cqc.org.uk.
The Disclosure and Barring Service – (DBS)
It is a legal requirement that anyone working with vulnerable adults or children must possess a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Disclosure. All grades of staff are checked against the DBS and police databases and a Disclosure obtained prior to confirmation of employment and placement with any client. The DBS will also incorporate information held on the DBS children and adults barred lists. We renew our staff DBS Disclosures every three years.
United Kingdom Home Care Association (UKHCA)
As a member of the UKHCA we are required to abide by their Code of Practice for all our home care services. Their web site contains very useful information.
Quality Procedures
We have obtained BS EN ISO9001:2008 accreditation, which is reviewed and reaffirmed annually by Certified Quality Systems Ltd.
Everycare Identification Badges
All our personnel are required to carry them while on duty. They have a 3–year life and have a recent photograph of the bearer.
The Staff ID Badge contains a unique QR code which can be scanned by a smart phone to obtain immediate verification of the holder’s employment status, qualifications. training history etc. As far as we are aware we are the only private nursing and care services organisation to have implemented such a comprehensive and secure verification procedure.
