Everycare Edinburgh – Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Service
Alzheimer’s and dementia care services in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.
With an ageing population and increasing life expectancy, alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia are becoming more and more widespread. The need for care puts a huge burden on those immediate family members who are expected to cope.
According to the Alzheimer’s Society, there are currently 800,000 people in the UK that have dementia, of which two thirds are women. Furthermore, 60,000 deaths a year are directly attributable to dementia. There will be over a million people with dementia by 2021.
At Everycare Edinburgh, we support all of our carers to undergo extensive dementia training.
With around two-thirds of people with dementia living in the community and over a third people over the age of 95 suffering from dementia, we believe in the importance of the right training for our experienced team of carers to help those living in the community and suffering with dementia.
The Everycare team have a passion for providing the best quality care, support and guidance to help enable loved ones to remain safe in their own home and in familiar surroundings, with dignity and independence for as long as possible.
